# Tour operator software for excursion companies in Portugal

How excursions are sold in Portugal, what the software market there looks like, and what TourCockpit brings a tour or excursion company that sells through tour operators, hotel desks and agencies: an operator portal, a daily operations board and a month-end settlement per operator, at a published price, in European Portuguese, and five more languages for the operators.

## How are excursions sold in Portugal?

Three populations: Algarve and Madeira fleets that mix transfers and excursions, Lisbon and Porto city sightseeing, and everyone else on an international booking engine plus a spreadsheet. There is no national vendor for excursion operations: the one Portuguese platform shipping a portal, a dispatch board and partner invoicing is built for transfers, and the largest European booking engine has no Portuguese interface at all.

## What does the software market look like there?

Price expectations are anchored low, around €60 a month, by the transfer platforms. Certified invoicing software and SAF-T (PT) submission are legal requirements that every local vendor markets, usually through a connector to an invoicing product rather than by invoicing themselves.

## What does TourCockpit bring to a company in Portugal?

- A Portuguese interface in a category where the biggest vendor ships none.
- Excursion operations, not transfers: seats on a departure with a capacity, a guide matched to the guests' language, hotel pickups by zone, a printed manifest.
- A month-end settlement per operator, gross versus net, which gives your certified invoicing software the figures per operator.
- A published price with no setup fee.

## Local specifics

- Certified invoicing and SAF-T (PT) stay in your invoicing software; TourCockpit's settlement produces the per-operator figures it invoices from. A direct connector is not built today.
- Madeira operations were the shape of TourCockpit's demo company: zones, hotels, reselling desks, guides, tours and a pickup grid.
- The transfer platforms set the price anchor at a quarter of TourCockpit's; the operator portal and the settlement are what that price does not include.

Market notes come from our own research across seven European markets, completed in August 2026, checked against each vendor's own pages. Where TourCockpit does not do something, this page says so.
