# Tour operator software for excursion companies in France

How excursions are sold in France, what the software market there looks like, and what TourCockpit brings a tour or excursion company that sells through tour operators, hotel desks and agencies: an operator portal, a daily operations board and a month-end settlement per operator, at a published price, in French for the office (vous throughout), and five more languages for the operators.

## How are excursions sold in France?

Three camps that do not talk to each other. Coach transport systems for autocaristes are deep on dispatch, tachograph compliance and accounting exports, and every one is built for charter, school runs and regular lines where the customer books a whole vehicle: none sells seats to a tour operator, none knows what a 07:40 hotel pickup list is, and none runs a per-operator commission settlement. Tourism commerce platforms own booking and distribution and stop at the sale. Tour operator and DMC back offices round it out.

## What does the software market look like there?

Deals go to the regional editor with a phone number, on-site training and an export to whatever the client's accountant uses. The second channel is institutional: a département sponsors a platform, providers adopt it because it is free, and switching becomes political. A published price is rare, and the small operator has been trained to expect about €115 a month.

## What does TourCockpit bring to a company in France?

- Seats on excursions sold through operators and desks, with a pickup list by zone and hotel, which the coach systems were not built for.
- A per-operator commission percentage and a month-end gross-versus-net settlement, treated as a first-class object rather than a note on the invoice.
- A published price, no setup, no term, and a French interface with formal address.
- Six languages for the operators who book: the Italian, German, English, Spanish or Portuguese operator reads its own portal.

## Local specifics

- Accounting exports stay with your existing tools; the settlement provides the per-operator figures.
- A sponsored platform is free to the provider; the operator portal and the settlement are what it does not do.
- Repeated daily departures with fixed capacity and most volume through third parties is exactly the shape TourCockpit was built for.

Market notes come from our own research across seven European markets, completed in August 2026, checked against each vendor's own pages. Where TourCockpit does not do something, this page says so.
