# Tour operator software for excursion companies in the Canary Islands

How excursions are sold in the Canary Islands, what the software market there looks like, and what TourCockpit brings a tour or excursion company that sells through tour operators, hotel desks and agencies: an operator portal, a daily operations board and a month-end settlement per operator, at a published price, in Spanish, with English, German, Italian, French and Portuguese for the operators.

## How are excursions sold in the Canary Islands?

Excursions on the islands are sold by tour operators and their reps at the hotel desk: TUI Musement, MTS Globe, Jumbo and W2M run their own B2B portals, and a supplier serving five of them ends up with five logins and five spreadsheets. The office takes the rest by phone and keys it into a workbook, and settles each operator's commission by hand at month end.

## What does the software market look like there?

Three layers that do not talk to each other: the operators own the B2B rails, booking engines such as TuriTop, Dispongo and TourKnife sell to the supplier, and the coach ERPs know the vehicles and nothing about excursion seats. The regional government installs booking engines free for a year for activity SMEs, on top of Kit Digital, so a booking widget cannot be sold on price here.

## What does TourCockpit bring to a company in the Canary Islands?

- One portal where every operator and every hotel rep books its own seats against live availability, on that operator's own commission, so the phone is only for exceptions.
- The daily board with vans by plate, guides matched to the guests' language, pickup times by zone from the hotel, and the printed manifest, in the office's own vocabulary.
- A month-end settlement per operator, gross versus net, computed from the board.
- IGIC rather than IVA, and hotel reps as a first-class user, because the islands are outside the EU VAT area and the desk sells the excursion.

## Local specifics

- IGIC, not IVA: the islands are outside the EU VAT area.
- The rep at the hotel desk is a distinct channel from the tour operator and books in the same portal.
- Multi-island operators run the eastern islands as one commercial region.
- Built with a working tour company on the islands, from its real workbook.

Market notes come from our own research across seven European markets, completed in August 2026, checked against each vendor's own pages. Where TourCockpit does not do something, this page says so.
