You sign in to TourCockpit with your email and a password. This page explains the first sign-in from an invitation, what to do when a password is forgotten, how to change it, and who creates accounts in the first place.
You do not create your own account: someone invites you, and the invitation lands in your email. The link in it takes you to the Choose a password screen.
Go to the sign-in page, enter your Email and Password, and press Sign in. If the pair is wrong, the message deliberately does not say which half: that is a small protection for everyone's accounts, not a bug.
Accounts from before passwords existed still work: use Forgot password on the sign-in page, and the email it sends takes you straight to choosing one. From then on you sign in with it like everyone else.
While signed in, press Change your password at the bottom of the sidebar, next to signing out. You confirm your current password, then choose the new one.
Setting, changing or resetting a password signs that account out everywhere else: every other browser and phone needs the new password the next time it is used. Only the device where the change was made stays signed in.
Because inviting is this easy, nobody should share an account: every person gets their own sign-in, and every change in TourCockpit is recorded under the person who made it.
My profile holds what is yours: your name, the WhatsApp number your alerts travel to, and which alerts you want. Your email, your role and your company are shown there but are the office's to change — the email is how you sign in, and the role decides what you may do.
If you work at a reseller, this is where you set your own WhatsApp number. Before it existed you had to ask the office to type it for you, which meant the people who most needed to be reached were the only ones who could not say where.
Turning the alerts off silences WhatsApp only. The message still arrives in your in-app inbox, because a change to a booking you have already sold is something you need to see even if you would rather your phone stayed quiet.
The Language switcher sits at the bottom of the sidebar. Your choice is saved to your account, not just to the browser, so it follows you to any device, and the emails TourCockpit sends you arrive in it too.
Before you have chosen anything, TourCockpit takes its first guess from your browser's language at sign-in. The guess never overwrites a choice you have made yourself.
