# Priced per vehicle: a private tour, sold whole

A private tour has one price for the vehicle and its guide, by the size of the party, and it goes to one group. The office sets it on the tour, and from then on the board and a tour operator's portal both price it that way and add nobody else to it. This page tells it in the order it happens.

## What does Priced per vehicle do?

It replaces the fares. A tour Priced per person charges each adult, child and infant. A tour Priced per vehicle charges the party once, whoever is in it, and once one party has booked a departure, nobody else is added to it.

## What does the office set?

1. On the Tour Catalog, open the tour and under How this tour is sold choose Priced per vehicle.
2. Under What the vehicle costs, give one line per party size: Up to this many people and Price (EUR). Add a price adds a line and Remove takes one away. The tour needs at least one line, and a party size can have only one price.
3. Press Save Changes. The catalog's Price column then lists every line, for example €450.00 up to 5 people, €550.00 up to 8 people.

The fares stay on the tour and are not read while it is priced per vehicle, so choosing Priced per person again brings them back. On the Prices tab of Reference Data, every cell of the tour reads Priced per vehicle: it has no fares for a zone to raise, and it costs the same from every zone.

## What does the party pay?

The first line the party fits, once. Every head counts towards the line, children and infants included, so enter the real party. With up to 5 people at €450 and up to 8 people at €550, five people pay €450 and six pay €550. A free seat still costs nothing.

Where there is no figure to give, the form says why in the place of the total: More people than this vehicle is sold for, up to 8 when the party is larger than the last line, and No price set for this vehicle yet when the tour has no lines. Saving such a booking is refused, unless it is a free seat. A party larger than the seats left is answered first, as on any tour, with Not enough seats: 9 asked, 8 left.

## Can anyone else join the departure?

No. Once one booking is on it, a second is refused however many seats are empty, on the board as on the portal: This private tour is already booked. The vehicle goes to that group alone. The same goes for moving a booking onto it, or putting a cancelled one back on it. With its booking cancelled, the departure takes a party again.

## What does a tour operator's desk see?

The tour's card lists what the vehicle costs for each party size in place of the fares, and a desk books it with the usual form. The button shows the price the party comes to, and children are welcome: having no child fare does not refuse them here. Once it is booked, the card reads Taken and Already booked: this vehicle goes to one group.

When the tour is ticked Can run in a free van, the next party can open a van of its own on a day one is free: the page about free vans tells that part.
