# Adults only tours: a tour no child or infant can join

Some tours take nobody under the adult age, a trekking for example. The office ticks one box on the tour, and from then on a booking with a child or an infant on it is refused on the board and on a tour operator's portal alike. This page tells it in the order it happens.

## What is Adults only for?

It says that a tour takes adults and nobody else, children and infants together. It is a yes or a no and not an age: there is no minimum age to type, and a tour cannot take children and refuse infants. A tour operator's party panel already reads Adult (12+), Child (3-12) and Infant (under 3), which is where the line falls for the person booking.

A tour with no child price is a different thing: it refuses children and still lets an infant through. So a tour that nobody under the adult age may join needs the box.

## What does the office turn on?

1. On the Tour Catalog, open the tour and tick Adults only. The form says what it does: No children and no infants on this tour. A booking that has either is refused. A tour sold by the vehicle has the same box.
2. The child and infant prices then stay on the form and cannot be changed, each saying Not used while the tour is adults only. They are kept, so they are back if you untick the box. With the box ticked, the child price may be left empty.
3. Save. On the Prices tab of Reference Data, the tour's child boxes now read n.a., and its adult boxes work as before.

Unticking the box on a per-person tour with no child price is refused, with Set a child price, 0 if children ride free, or tick Adults only.

## What does the office see when it books?

On the board, on its row and on its booking sheet, the CH and INF boxes are off, and the form says This tour is for adults only: no children or infants. The same sentence refuses a booking with a child or an infant from any other way in: a guest moved here from another tour, or a free seat, which is held to this rule like any other booking.

## What does a tour operator's desk see?

The tour's card reads from €60.00 adult · adults only. When the desk sets a child or an infant under Guests, the tour leaves the list of those that fit and folds under Show 1 that can't take them, saying Adults only, with + Add booking switched off. It is not offered in Extra van, other tour either. With adults alone it books as any other tour, and its form shows the same sentence as the board, with the child and infant counts off and reading n.a.

## What about a booking that was already on the tour?

Ticking the box cancels nothing, flags nothing and warns nobody: a booking with a child or an infant keeps its place. Its name, its note or its pickup time can still be changed and saved. Its CH or INF box stays on while it holds someone, so you can take them off. Change the party or the hotel while a child or an infant is still on it, and the save is refused with the same sentence.

So before you tick the box on a tour with bookings ahead, look through them on the Daily Operations Board: nothing else will point them out to you.
