# The Activity Log: every change, and who made it

The Activity Log is the whole company's record of change: every booking, tour, hotel, operator and setting, who changed it, when, and what it was before. Managers open it from Activity in the menu, and the small clock beside the date on the Daily Board opens it for one day.

## What is the Activity Log?

One entry per change, newest first, from every screen: the board, Bookings, Tour Planning, the Tour Catalog, Reference Data and Team. It is the record the History entries on the board read from, gathered for the whole company. Managers and the owner find it under Activity in the menu; staff do not have it.

- The tag at the start says what kind of record changed: a booking, a tour, a hotel, the company's settings.
- Then which one, by the name the office knows it by: a tour by its name and its day, a booking by its guest, or by its hotel when the booking has no name.
- Then what happened, as a sentence: New booking with its pickup, its party and how it is paid, Edited booking with what changed, Cancelled tour. A new guide, a different van or a hotel moved to another zone reads by name.
- Then who did it, and on the right, when, in your own time. A booking made through the portal names the operator's own person; a manager working through View as operator reads as themselves, with the operator after their name.
- Changes opens the detail: every field that moved, the old value struck through and the new one after it. The short reference after the sentence, such as #9c41e2, lets you point a colleague at one exact entry.

## How do I find one change?

The card above the list narrows it: set what you know and press Apply.

- Who is one colleague, or Everyone.
- What is the kind of record: Bookings, Schedule for the departures on the board, Settings for the company card on Team, Tours, Hotels, Operators, or Drivers for who was on or off on a day.
- Action narrows it to one kind of change.
- Date takes two days, from and to, both included. It is the day the change was made, not the day of the tour.

The list shows the most recent changes. To reach an older one, narrow it by date or by person.

## How do I see everything that happened to one day?

Press the small clock beside the date on the Daily Board. The Activity Log opens on The day of that date: everything that has ever happened to that day's tours and to the bookings on them, whenever the change was made. A booking taken three weeks ago for next Tuesday shows here with its whole trail, so a day you are preparing in advance already shows everything done to it.

Who, What and Action still narrow it. The dates are not offered, because the day is the question. Show all activity takes you back to the whole log.

The two questions are different. The clock asks what happened to this day's work; the dates on the full log ask what the office did on this day, whichever day's board it touched.

## Is anything left out?

- A save that changed nothing is not an entry. Opening a form and pressing Save without changing a value leaves no line.
- One click that changes several records shows one entry for each, each under its own name, so cancelling tours that run together names every tour it touched. A booking and its guests stay one entry.
- Commission is the owner's alone. A manager never sees a commission figure here, and a change that touched only a commission is not listed for them at all.
- Reading the inbox is not a change. Opening a message, or marking it read, leaves no line.
