# TourCockpit compared with Bókun: price, operator portal, daily board and settlement

Bókun (global) and TourCockpit, side by side: what each one is, what each one costs at its published price, and where each is the better fit for a tour or excursion company that sells through tour operators, hotel desks and agencies.

## What is Bókun?

Bókun is booking management software for tour and activity providers with a large marketplace and OTA distribution behind it. It is sold worldwide, in four languages on its site, with a free tier and percentages that apply to online bookings only.

## What does each one cost?

| | TourCockpit | Bókun |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Platform fee | €300 per month | $0 / $49 / $149 / $499 per month |
| Per booking | 1% of the bookings taken through the platform | 1.5% / 1.25% / 1% on applicable online bookings; 0% on Viator and on offline bookings |
| Setup | €0, onboarding with your real data included | None |
| Minimum term | None, month to month | None |
| Realistic bill for a company that sells mostly through operators | €300 plus 1% of the bookings taken through the platform | About €200 per month on the PLUS tier, the percentage applying to the direct online slice only |

Prices are the vendors' published list prices as read on their own pages in August 2026; where a vendor publishes no figure, the table says so. Check the vendor's page for the current number.

## Where is Bókun the better fit?

- Marketplace and OTA distribution: reaching customers a small company could not reach itself.
- A free tier to start, and offline bookings at 0%.
- A large product with integrations, channel management and a reseller marketplace.

## Where is TourCockpit the better fit?

- The supplier's own operator portal: your tour operators, hotel desks and agencies booking your seats on your terms, rather than a marketplace where you are one of many.
- The daily operations board: vans by plate, guides by language, pickups by zone, manifests.
- The month-end settlement per operator. Bókun stores commissions; TourCockpit runs the reconciliation.

## Questions

Is Bókun a competitor or a channel? Both can be true. A company can distribute through Bókun's marketplace and run its day and its operators on TourCockpit. What TourCockpit replaces is the phone and the spreadsheet, not a distribution channel.

Which is cheaper? For a company that keys most bookings offline, Bókun's percentage rarely applies and the bill is the tier fee. TourCockpit's €300 buys the board, the portal and the settlement, which Bókun does not include at any tier.
